Day 1

Day 1 - September 21st

Today we woke up at 5am and left for Milwaukee General Mitchell Airport.  When we got to the airport and were waiting to go through security, the girls got to see an explosive and/or drug sniffing dog.  They were pretty excited about that!

When the plane took off and got into the air, both of the girls were so excited!  They loved looking out the windows at the clouds and houses below us.

We got to Orlando, FL at 1pm (noon our time).  We got our luggage and found our rental car (a 2012 Toyota Camry).

 We got to our beautiful resort and checked in.  It's a gorgeous place!  HUGE!  

 Mom and I went to the local Wal-Mart to get some groceries.  As I was searching for Pete's staple Kessler and Coke ingredients, I realized that there wasn't any hard liquor in Wal-Mart.  Beer, wine, etc.....no Kessler.  We had to find a liquor store because they aren't allowed to see hard liquor.  

The girls got their princess costumes on, we jumped on the 7:45pm shuttle, and went to Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Celebration.

When we got there, we saw beautiful Halloween/fall decorations and tons of people in costumes!  There were specific areas that the girls could go to trick-or-treat, so they got some candy.  We went on Peter Pan's Flight, It's a Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Haunted Mansion.

We missed the last shuttle for the night, so we had to take a cab back to our resort.  It wasn't a big deal, but now we know that we need to start heading to our shuttle 30 minutes before it's scheduled to leave.  

We got back to the resort, got ready for bed, and were sleeping by 12:30am.  It was a long day!
